Mohammed Shuaibu, who works at the protocol and passages of FAAN, has been beaten mercilessly after he asked Nigerian Air Force men not to remove number plates from his car.
Despite the fact that Mr. Shuaibu was dressed in FAAN uniform and showed his documents, it still didn’t help him at all. After a brief argument with Nigerian Air Force men, he was beaten into coma, with blood flowing from his mouth and nostrils.
“We first moved him to FAAN clinic, where they said his heart beat was slowing down and he was finding it difficult to breathe. So we have to rush him to the airport hospital,” one of the witnesses, who helped to transport the victim’s unconscious body to the hospital said
It’s not the first case of violence between military men and civilian staff. Three months ago, a trolley operator at the General Aviation Terminal of the Lagos airport died in similar attack.
